crader > Eastern Black Snake ( Coluber constrictor) found on the Minnewaska Carriageway. This three foot long specimen (they can reach 5 feet) slowly moved off the trail and hid in some rocks. I was surprised to see it out in the open along the heavily traveled road as they are quite shy.
